An extension of Capoeira Relampuê and supervised by Mestre Mariano Silva. Capoeira is a multi-faceted, Afro-Brazilian martial art and cultural practice developed over 500 years ago by Africans brought to Brazil. It displays elements of a dance, a fight, and a game while integrating music, acrobatic movements, wit, play, and philosophy. The practice of capoeira is an excellent way for women, men and children to improve physical fitness by building strength, flexibility, coordination, balance, and agility. Capoeira fosters mental well-being and reduces stress and serves as a tool to cultivate a culturally diverse community.
