My name is Corey Goodman, but in the Capoeira world, my apelido (nickname) is Pena – it means “feather”. I started practicing Capoeira in 1994 at the age of 12 with Mestre Rodrigo Zerlotti who formed Capoeira Evolução in Austin, TX. When I started Capoeira, there weren’t very many accessible resources in the United States for anything Capoeira related.. especially not instruments.
