Filhos de Bimba Detroit offers instruction in the multi-faceted Afro-Brazilian art-form of Capoeira. Using the teaching methodology known as A Luta Regional Baiana, or Capoeira Regional, we aim to form well-rounded individuals in both Capoeira and life. Our curriculum covers the physical movements, songs, music and the culture of Capoeira. Additionally, we encourage positive body image and stress that Capoeira is something that produces the most authentic parts of ourselves physically and mentally.

Classes are taught by Professor Trovoada (formado -Filhos de Bimba Escola de Capoeira).
